I owe my life to this bike. Living at the end of the road at one of the most popular mountain bike trail heads in Colorado literally gave me every reason to live for the last 18 months, and this trail bike played no small part in that, at least when it wasn’t ski season.

This is hands down the most fun bike I’ve ridden in a half dozen years as I was searching for a full suspension bike that was sub-30 pounds, doing everything well and lending a hero factor while still keeping you grounded.
It’s the ultimate do-everything, all-mountain, lightweight, fully featured modern mountain bike. The Spark considered a “trail bike” or even a contemporary XC bike, but if you are old school on a bike like this for the first time, you’ll think you’re on a downhill bike. But the light weight makes climbing a breeze, and that makes it more fun to ride, and easier to climb gnarly rocky, rooty trails and steeps.
The fourth generation SCOTT Spark 910 boasts an ultralight carbon fiber mainframe with an alloy swingarm. The improved 910 comes equipped with a highly versatile and efficient Shimano 12-speed drivetrain; as well as a custom FOX Nude shock and SCOTT’s TwinLoc 2-position lock out suspension system for optimizing float in all grades and conditions, with a max of 120mm. The standard seat dropper post is a must have — the one piece of MTB technology that, once you try it, you truly cannot go back. The spec and groupo on this bike is unarguable and top end for virtually any level of rider. And the price point is not astronomical, especially for what you’re getting, if you can find one.
