Gale Straub founded the media platform She Explores in 2014 as a way to highlight and elevate the stories of adventurous women. Her coverage sought to get to the heart of these women, their passion(s), and often the creative work they produced. What started as a website, grew into a podcast, and an international community interacting on social media and in person. After having highlighted the stories of hundreds of women over the last 4+ years, Straub launched her first book a few weeks back, She Explores: Stories of Life-Changing Adventures on the Road and in the Wild. Straub uses the skills honed in her previous work to dive deep into the stories of 40 different women from all backgrounds and walks of life. Travelers, athletes, through hikers, and artists all grace the 200 page book. Equally inspiring and practical, She Explores, is a worthy addition to any outdoors person’s coffee table.
