Ever wonder why Vanish Founder David Gensler is so into his hats? Well, it’s mainly because he stumbled onto a brand that makes a game changer when it comes to shady (in a good way) headwear. Utopian Projects is a creative collective specializing in what they call the Long Bill ($45).
This particular hat is fashion-meets-function in all the right ways. From stylish prints and colorways to lightweight, breathable material, to an ultra shade-creating bill—these hats make a long day on the river exponentially more bearable. “You don’t feel it, but you see the results of that extra long brim. I can’t fish in any other hat,” says DG.
