Ultralight tent and trekking pole mash up? That’s basically what Black Diamond just did. They launched their new Distance tent at the Summer 2018 Outdoor Retailer show and will be shipping next spring. The 1.4 pound tent is super light and can fit up to 2 people, although you should be pretty comfortable with your tent mate as you will be in close quarters! This lightweight shelter is paired up with their new carbon Z-pole trekking poles, which replace the traditional tent poles or you can get an adapter to use any of other trekking pole for the tent structure. The tent will retail for $249.99 and the tent and trekking pole kit will retail for $399.99.
