This Friday you will have the chance to witness the longest eclipse of the century. Which happens when the sun, moon and the earth align perfectly with the moon falling directly in earths shadow. The duration of this “eclipse of the century” will last just short of 2 hours. The eclipse will start at 1:14PM EDT and will be in full effect between 3:30PM – 5:13PM EDT.
NASA TV will carry live views of the eclipse from approximately 2:15 p.m. EDT (14:15 UTC) until as late as 6:30 p.m. EDT (18:30 UTC).
