Unimatic’s U1 series beautifully channels inspiration from vintage dive watches to arrive at a thoroughly modern yet classic feeling timepiece. All of their pieces are limited editions, and the current U1-DZN has caught our eye. Made in Italy, its 41.5mm case is machined from brushed 316 stainless steel with a black DLC coating. Paired with a matte Olive Drab dial, and a 12HR OD bezel it’s low key highly functional art. That 12hr Bezel is a favorite complication of ours for its ability to track second time zones or elapsed time depending on the use case. With 300m of water resistance and a Seiko NH35A automatic movement, this Unimatic is ready for many years of adventure.
